No matter how stunning your wedding dress may be, however, your wedding day is not complete without the perfect wedding bouquet.
Discover the latest trends in bridal bouquets before you walk to the altar.

What’s more popular are the round clustered bouquets with the long cascading look.

The most popular bouquets are mono flowers (all in one) look and the romantic bouquet filled with an assortment of fluttery flowers with lost of petals.

The mono floral bouquets coordinate well with contemporary or architectural gowns, so they are composed of seek, structured flowers like mini calla lilies or cattleya orchids.

The new clustered round and cascading bouquet are using flowers with lots of pedals, think of peonies, ranunculus, French tulips, hydrangeas and the new Yves piaget rose.

Shape:
The round bouquets are still the most popular for their clean shapes and focus  on the wedding dress.. To avoid the 80s look, brides are selecting bouquets that cascade slightly down the front with an “ upside down teardrop” shape. This movement adds detail and a touch of drama to the wedding day.

Flowers and more:
Today’s bouquets are just more than flowers! Some florists add texture like feathers, berries, striped leaves, Swarovski crystals and beaded pearls.

Tie It Up:
Unlike the natural bride who expose the flower stems, the modernize look is classic ribbon wrapped stems. Wedding florist layer fabric in different colors or textures. Wrap the stems with an heirloom handkerchief or a ribbon embroidered with your signature motif, or adorns the stem with beaded of pearl!

May 9th, 2010 by admin

Color set the tone for the entire celebration. It’s the strand that pulls your wedding together, from the arrival of the save the date to the sweet hue of the signature drink during cocktail hour. It can be difficult to pick a palette. For those struggling with the choice, begin by asking yourself a few questions:

1)    Which hues am I always drawn to?
2)    Have I been to any weddings recently that inspired me?
3)    What colors will work (link to flower colors) or clash with our wedding venue or vision?

Think about the big picture:  Though you may of grown up loving yellow, it  might not be the ideal shade for an evening wedding on New Year Eve. Likewise, shimmering metallic silver might not set the right tone for an afternoon garden reception. So before you pick the lilac overlays or azure blue paper lanterns, think about the big picture.

Orange and Red

A vivid scheme is the way to go with this all star matchup. These complement shades that are the utilmate pair to make your party bright & bold, so you can showcase the whimsical flair at any time during the year.

Fill  The containers with a mix of flowers in both tones, or go all red on some tables and all orange on others.  For a winter idea, fill large glass computes with oranges accented with peppermint candies. To add fruity flair, server tangerine-flvored martinis with maraschino cherries on the side. Be sure to have Shirley Temple’s on the side.

Silk Wedding Flowers – An Inexpensive yet Classy Choice
May 9th, 2010 by admin

When it comes to your wedding day, nothing can be more important in your life. You spend months planning your wedding, while you probably spent years dreaming about it. Everything needs to be perfect and just like you imagined. And it should, because it is your day. After you’ve found the perfect man, the perfect dress and the perfect location, one of the next things you need to focus on are the flowers. This can get quite expensive considering you need flowers for the bouquets, the church and the reception. While you don’t want to sacrifice quality for price, a smart alternative is using silk wedding flowers.

Things have changed since the days when using silk wedding flowers were tacky or cheap. The industry has advanced so much that many flowers look like the real thing. Oftentimes, the only time you can tell them apart is by touching them. Hopefully your guests won’t be so nosy they’ll actually touch your flowers. Even if they do touch them, it won’t matter because they will look elegant and classy, all while saving you a bundle. You can use the money you saved to get a nicer dress or you could do the practical thing and save the money for starting your new life with the one you love.

Silk wedding flowers are available for all your wedding day flower needs. You can do just as much, if not more, with silk flowers that you can with real flowers. The silk flowers used today have such attention to detail that there even are life-like veins on the flower’s leaves. You can get all your boutonnieres, bouquets and centerpieces in coordinating flowers and colors. For your church decorating, you can get flower garlands and flower candle wreathes. The garland will look great on your seating, while the wreaths will be the perfect accompaniment to your romantic and spiritual candles.

Another great reason for using silk wedding flowers is because you won’t have to worry if the flower of you choice is in season. If it’s not in season, you won’t have to pay a ridiculously higher fee for getting greenhouse flowers. With silk flowers, the flowers always are in season. Many of the flowers also can be adjusted to match your wedding’s chosen colors. Some brides choose their flowers depending on what looks best with their colors. If you use silk flowers, you can choose the flower you want and have it adjusted to match your colors.

Even if money isn’t an issue for you, many brides decide to use silk wedding flowers because they’ll double as a keepsake. Why spend all that money on beautiful flowers that die in a few days? With silk flowers, you’ll have more than a photograph to remind you what your flowers looked like. Not only do they make a wonderful keepsake for the bride, they also make great mementos for the bridesmaids and mothers. Your friends and family love the fact they get to spend your day with you, they’ll be just as pleased to have a remembrance. They even can use them as part of their home’s décor afterward.

There are other ways you can keep your silk wedding flowers after your special day is over. Besides using the centerpieces as your own decorations, you can put the rest of your flowers in storage and recycle them at another wedding. If you have a family member who may be getting married in the next few years, ask them if they would want to use your flowers. Not only will this save them money, but you’ll feel as if you contributed to their big day. If this isn’t an option, or if they only want to use your centerpieces, another option you have is donating your flowers. If you used garland and wreathes to decorate your church, why not donate them back to the church? They’re always looking for decorative flowers they can use.

If you use silk wedding flowers for your special day, it also takes away the stress ordering real flowers. Since they are naturally grown, it’s always a gamble as to whether the flowers will be at their peak for your wedding day. They can quickly start to turn brown and wilt. You never know whether your flowers will look that way until the florist arrives to decorate. Why take the chance of a ruined wedding and no flowers? You could save yourself the hassle and stress by going with silk flowers.

If you are planning a wedding and haven’t considered using silk wedding flowers, just remember that the industry has changed and they no longer look fake and plastic. The silk flowers will give your wedding an elegant look while saving you hundreds of dollars, maybe even thousands. To see all we have to offer in silk arrangements, visit our Web site for our full collection.
